Groq is free — just sign up and paste your API key. Claude Haiku (Anthropic) costs approximately €2–5 per month depending on usage. You choose which one to use, and you can switch at any time.
The AI API call requires an internet connection. Everything else — Home Assistant, the Kacy logic, voice processing — runs entirely locally on your Raspberry Pi. There is no cloud dependency for your smart home itself.
